In the rain & mist the danger of midair collision was added to all the other hazards. Other planes would emerge as a shadow for a fraction of a second, then vanish into the black clouds. There was something uncanny, sinister about this flying in rain & storm, cloud & mist. The pilots, German & British alike were "half dead, exhausted & worn to tatters by the inhuman strain & the nerve shattering tumult". It was eerie & unearthly, like some "frantic witches sabbath in the air". H. Goering 1918
Great! The landing was like reading a book, the slow motion was perfect for this. The take -off brought back memories of my earlier days in my experimental biplane! Just as it breaks ground, the airplane slightly swings into where it's happy. Great work!
