At an October 11, 2006 Debate at Congregation B'nai Israel in Bridgeport, CT, Chris Shays states that what happened in Abu Ghraib was a sex ring, not torture.

It wasnt torture, it was just humiliating to the prisoners, which is what encourages them to cooperate. i wonder what those prisoners would have dont to an american in order to get information?

Hmmm get caught by muslim extremists, have my fingers cut off one by one and when they have no use for me hold me hostage and then cut my head off, or get caught by americans, undress and get laughed at? Hmmmm?

It was torture, one soldier punched a prisoner so hard in the chest he went into cardiac arrest.
Another soldier punched one in the head and he instantly went unconscious.
The soldier poured chemical phosphurus liquid from the lights all over them.
They shoved fucking broomsticks up there arses. How is that not torture? Do some god dam research before you start stating completely unaccurate things.
