Touching -- music fits well, and I especially love the last 2 lines in the poem about how we can all do our part, because that's where it all starts -- within. We have a stepson stationed in Germany. Relieved Obama ended the Iraqi war, but who knows where they'll be sent next? Nice work, John.

My sentiments exactly. My stepson's in the army and is heading off to Afghanistan in January.
Crimson lake is a beautiful, poignant metaphor...
