just look under the table and there is a shadow lol but were is the object making it? its a mirror when the camera looks away from under it the place mirror there its a good illusion though... :D

he likely did a simpler trick to garner the reaction, or hired everyone.

Look at the bar on the right side right before he disappears, you can see an obvious camera edit.
