PinePower is right. All those billions to failing companies. Didn't Obama promise huge funding projects to infrastructure and public transportation?

The other perspective is how well will MTA actually manage the monies they are given. Do they really need it? Seems like every 3 years we are threatened with a fare hike and whining from the MTA execs about how hard their jobs are. Didn't they give away a couple hundred million Christmas of 2006?
