A small snapshot of what we'll need for our new Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Garden in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
Community gardens have countless benefits beyond the obvious (a place to grow vegetables), including meeting your neighbors, healthy living, educating students, reduced crime, inexpensive and nutritious organic food, neighborhood beautification, intergenerational and cross-cultural interaction, sharing ideas, more green space, stronger families, community pride, etc., etc., etc.
