Canada Tonight - Open

From 1995, the opening to the national edition of Canada Tonight (the BC edition was hosted by Bill Good - now with CTV BC).

Canada Tonight was a national news broadcast from Vancouver that aired on WIC stations: BCTV Vancouver, CHEK Victoria, CITV Edmonton, CICT Calgary, and CHCH Hamilton.

WIC was later purchased by Canwest Global. Global had a similar newscast based in Toronto, 'First National' hosted by Peter Kent. When WIC was purchased, they replaced First National with Canada Tonight. After one year, they hired Kevin Newman from ABC to host the new Global National newscast.

@kr192101: Yes, because at the time Tony was the VP of News and Current Affairs, which means he was management. The only others who joined him on set were contractors I think.
