Cockfighting is a criminal blood sport between two roosters (also known as cocks), that are outfitted with steel blades on their legs and forced to fight one another in a violent death match.
The Humane Society of the United States estimates that cockfighting-related activities -- fighting, breeding and training fighting birds -- are taking place in 50,000 back yards in Southern California.
This is the story of cockfighting in San Bernardino County--the largest county in the United States.
