Women of the Krav Maga Federation Part II

Krav Maga Federation believes in imparting the highest and most aggressive form of self-defense to women, following Imi Lichtenfeld's philosophy that every person, regardless of size or power, has the right to defend herself. In this video, the women of the Krav Maga Federation demonstrate basic techniques at the New York City school, located at 164 West 25th Street, New York, NY 10011. The female students proudly represent their respective Federation schools and their instructors: Rhon Mizrachi's Krav Maga NYC, Ed Maisonet's Staten Island Krav Maga, and Piotr Tuznik's Brooklyn Krav Maga.

Why would somebody be trying to grab the neck like that? Most of the ways I've seen to choke somebody out would make most of those techniques ineffective... perhaps if they were fighting untrained goons its effective?

The defenses are against chokes while being attacked, not MMA choke holds.
