I was just rewatching this for funsies after watching the Splatterhouse 2010 review and I think it's pretty poetic that in this video he had just gotten his skull with candles, whereas in the Splatterhouse 2010 review it's all waxed over with no candles really left. ^_^

@chouzan that skull has been in everyone of my halloween videos. as a tribute to halloween i placed the skull on the side table, but since it wasn't a proper halloween review I didn't have candles. it'll be back next year with fresh candles!

it's a lot easier then, but there's still enough random stuff in it to mess you up

That monster was Jennifer, but the mask convinces rick to retrieve her soul, which faded away at the end of the ARCADE version (the true version story wise).

I agree Splatterhouse 2 is the best one in the series. I didn't care much for part 3 it was too tough and didn't have much of a variety as far as enemies go. I liked the new 3D Splatterhouse and felt it was too harshly panned by the mainstream critics who probably didn't give the game much of a chance. I hope Namco gives this series another chance.
