This Johnny Bush hit has a timeless quality to it. http://www.johnnybush.com Also, this version has an extra verse not on the original record.

This is the title track from Johnny's first album, produced by Willie Nelson and Pete Drake and released on Stop Records out of Nashville in 1967. It's long out of print, available only at Johnny's shows and www.johnnybush.com website. The sound of a heartache, to Johnny, is the sound of a pedal steel guitar. Johnny writes "I've been in love with that sound since I was a little boy. My all-time favorite steel guitarists are Buddy Emmons and the late Jimmy Day".

Recorded at Knuckleheads Saloon, August 2007. Musicians backing Johnny include Middle Creek Opry house band. Bobby DeMoss on steel.
