This was the most heartbreaking part of the movie.

I'm a guy but I seriously cried like a child when I saw this scene. I had a very similar experience in my life, in which I dated a girl for months that I loved so much even though she never developed strong feelings for me, and it all culminated in a scene similar to this. It is a horrible feeling, but life must go on.
And guys, get rid of the nice guy syndrome. Be nice and respectful, but also have self worth and realize that not everyone is compatible, regardless of how nice one might be.

It hurts that she says that at the end, but i think it was so necessary to be said otherwise he would have never moved on....I don't think she's mean, she didn't force herself to like him, that would have made their relationship a lie and eventually both of them would feel unsatisifed with the other...

it's so sad, but at the same time it's so freeing because he can finally be released to find someone that will feel that way about him. he was in agony the whole time because he always knew she didn't love him. that isn't what love feels like. and now he knows it wasn't love and will be different when it is.
