Evan's Dream

My name is Evan. I'm 11 years old and was born with cerebral palsy. I could not walk without help. About 4 months ago, I joined JK Lee Black Belt Academy. I' ve been working with grandmaster Lee. He really has pushed me to be my best. Over the last 4 months I've really, really worked hard. On Friday, July 31st, I walked from school to the playground with NO help!! The teachers counted each step. Guess what, I walked 1001 steps! The teachers signed my shirt. They said to never give up.

I don't know if you will read this Evan, but I have something to say to you. You may have a yellow belt around your waist, but you have the heart of a black belt. If I ever think that my Sensei is pushing me too hard, I will watch your video to remind myself that you train harder than most people ever will.

Thank You! My Sensei really pushes me too and makes me train as hard as I can so that I can walk someday! I would love to become a Black Belt Instructor and teach kids. That would be awesome!

Evan, if you ever read this, thank you. I too was born with cerebral palsy, i recently began taking karate for the same reason, to strengthen and stretch my leg, luckily, i only have it in my right leg. The next time i think my sensei pushes me too hard, ill watch this, matter of fact, he's who showed me this. You inspire me, keep pushing, you're not alone.

I'm teen girl with Hemiplegia CP. Your video is wonderful. I do most things with my right side of my body. When people don't understand I can't do something as well as them I get upset. I been doing ballet classes for almost 13 years now. I take ballet classes with girls without disabilities. I love my ballet best friends.

I had mild case of childhood arthritis, I kindof know it is hard at times, but you are doing good. Stretching may hurt but it is worth it, I am proud you of you. I had 2 major feet surgerys and two minor ones. If you want to E-mail me it is on my profile on youtube.
