Ableton Live Improvisation w. Akai APC 40

So, this is my try for the European Video Competition from Akai.
Sorry for some of the errors, I left it like this because I think it proves that all was done spontaneous and live.
I used a custom midi mapping for the APC 40, so that I am able to control the start-position, loop position & size over the button grid. EQ´s are mapped to the faders and there are some effect racks mapped to the knobs. Nothing really special besides the re-mapping of the button grid.

Cool vid.....can you explain why you remapped the buttons? and what is the channel between deck A and easy.

@sbkrause Well, mostly because the original layout didn´t do the trick for me.
What do you mean with "between Deck A and easy" ???

@sbkrause Ahhh, you mean the channel...it is an audio channel which is re-routing the signal to the master. Further, there are some dummy notes on the slots to trigger some settings with the grid on the APC (like changing the quantize via the grid on the apc)

such a good video and mix! Did you do alot of warping to the tracks to make them mesh well or just find tracks with similar bpms?

@official1989music Thx!!! Well, all of the tracks HAVE to be warped properly, otherwise Ableton wouldn´t do the trick. Most of today´s dance music has quite similar bpm´s...so it´s not that much of a problem.

just got my apc 40 today. didnt find a button to make a loop,,, umm help?

true, it hasnt got any loop buttons pre-defined. don´t ask me why. but you can map any button you want to the loop function in the midi mapping mode (as seen in Live´s manual)
