Milo Hamilton... one of the best Radio announcers in sports broadcasting... it's gonna be a sad day around baseball when he passes

Obviously you would hear Vin Scully's call of this Home Run considering that Hank Aaron hit the Home Run against the Dodgers.
Hank Aaron entered the 1974 Season with 713 Lifetime Home Runs. After hitting number 714 on Opening Day in Cincinnati, tying "The Babe" lifetime, Hank Aaron was not to play again until the Braves went home to Atlanta.

Milo's call is one of the greatest calls in sports history.

With the strick zone opened in 1962 began a holly decade of pitcher's dominance, and precisally in that time Hank Aaron became the home run's king, my father always told me that the negro pitchers gave the ball easy to him, because they wanted Aaron ahead of Ruth in the records list........it will be interesting to check out the stadistics of Mr. Aaron batting agains Black and White pitchers, maybe my old man was rigth.......

@Kram6298 You have to look at it in the context of the times (early 70s, just a few years removed from the killing of Dr King), and the racist hate Aaron endured leading up to this moment. When you take that into consideration...I think Scully's comments put this moment into an important perspective.

U.S. Congressman,abolitionist,"Fath
er of the 14th Amendment" John Bingham, confirms understanding & construction Framers used re birthright & jurisdiction House of Reps 3/9 1866:
"I find no fault with the introductory clause which is simply declaratory of what is written in the Constitution, that EVERY HUMAN BEING BORN within the jurisdiction of the United States OF PARENTS NOT OWING ALLEGIANCE TO ANY FOREIGN SOVEREIGNTY IS,in the language of your Constitution itself,A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN"
Scully at his finest. Whether it be Koufax's perfect game, The 86' Buckner call or the Gibson Homerun; some of the best moments in baseball were made that much greater by having Vin behind the Mic. Vin represents everything that is good in baseball.
