I was pool side in my apartment in Singapore, when I saw something weird in the skies.

As I looked over head I saw some weird cloud shoots of light and puff as the clouds seemed to reform sporadically. I could see that a storm cloud was building, but the light and visual show was intriguing me.

So I grabbed my iPhone and recorded this :)

Let me know what you think caused this, and what this type of thing is called! Thanks...

  • DOES ANYONE ELSE SEE THE UNICORN AT THE BOTTOM?!?!?!

  • @abrigatti It's a static electric alignment field.

Polarized ice crystal lining up above or below a static electrical field. When the electrical field discharges the crystals are released back to their random positions and the electric field rebuilds, realigning them again.

That part of the cloud is a very thin 'sheet' of crystals that's not actually moving, you're just seeing the parts of that thin 'sheet' that are reflecting light directly at you as they move back into or out of realignment.

  • @tHe6RuStY6sAiLoR6 ITS A CAR WINDSHIELD with a POOL of WATER on it. The windows in the doors of the car are down so that it sounds like its outside. The window is TINTED slightly. The water is the part where it separates darker blue... that's the pooled water on the windshield. Its OBVIOUS.

  • @tHe6RuStY6sAiLoR6 A window does not move from afar, either. The camera is underneath a window. Its a water droplet being breathed on.

  • @truvelocity wtf are you talking about?

  • All we see is Strange Clouds

  • Chill guys... there was just a glitch in the gameplay of God 2.0

  • @truvelocity Um, no, its not. It is pretty easy to tell its there, considering when the lens moves, the movement stays where it should be and does not move with the lens.

  • "a lightning discharge in a thundercloud can temporarily change the electric field above the cloud where charged ice crystals were reflecting sunlight. The new electric field quickly re-orients the geometric crystals to a new orientation that reflects sunlight differently. In other words, a lightning discharge can cause a sundog to jump. Soon, the old electric field may be restored, causing the ice crystals to return to their original orientation."

  • That's glass and moisture (water drops pooling) from breath or a breeze on the glass dividing from the outside.
