On Martin Luther King Day, I find myself in Haiku in the midst of jungle at the doorstep of the sea. Winged ones are the order of the day from white doves who have taken up residence after a wedding release to the resident peacocks, mynahs and cardinals. In our group are two Episcopal Priests, a speech therapist, an eighth grade teacher at Sacred Hearts School and Mother Superior, herself, the SHS principal. We are treated to an exquisite lunch courtesy of Frederick Honig, owner of Spirit of Aloha Botanical Gardens.
