  • I just got this.. first bike.

How hard is it to install the headlights and gauge clusters and such? I'm not super mechanically inclined but I can figure a few things out. I'm not capable of major fabrication or anything though

  • @Trashjack101 the headlights installed with ease, the tach was a little harder to mount and wire up, i used two 6'' lengths of steel hanging strap, doubled them up and taped them together with electrical tape and mounted one end on the bottom of the ignition switch, and mounted the acewell tach on the other end. the hardest part about the tach is going back and forth between the acewell wiring diagram and the yamaha wiring diagram trying to get everything wired up correctly.

  • nice bike man i am wanting to rebuild the 1993 xj 600 for my first bike is that a good bike and what year is that???

  • @ktmracernumber66 It's a solid bike, treated me well. It's forgiving enough for a beginner but has enough power to keep you content for a while. Its a 1993.

  • Looking to do something just like this with my 93 Seca II. Just finished removing the front faring last week and I was wanting to know more about your setup. Could you provide maker of the...exhaust, headlights, barend mirrors, tach...etc. If you put it in the description it would be very helpful for anyone who happens across this video like I did and wants to know more about your setup. Thanks.

  • @Prafeston done, check the video info! as for the bar-end mirrors i believe i purchased them off of ebay.. not sure of the manufacturer. Good luck!

  • love what ya did with the divy! IMO it looks much better without the big plastic fairing.

  • nice video, exactly how I like my bike vids

  • Love it... really good job :)

  • @TGUNZproductions I'm french, and agree with TGUNZ, it's a good bike, nice frame, nice engine, brakes are a little bit shy, but my brake pads, my stainless hose, and a steady drain very well have corrected this (single disc). However I am not agree, power is relatively sufficient (except in long straight lines ...), the only black spot for me are the tires very thin, and the precarious grip on the wet, especially with the angles that I take (hold-up at each corners rubbed on my way to work).

  • Do you have the video without Cage the Elephant over it? I'd love to hear the exhaust by itself.

  • @TGUNZproductions Thanks for the reply!
