Ok, so to sum up this long video....

The solia worked perfectly when I first bought it in May 2007. It curled, and straightened my hair, BONE STRAIGHT!

Now, over a year later, it sucks! Leave my ends feeling burned, hair isnt completely straight, and I can smell it burning, even with the settings low. Great for small period of time, not a good long term flat iron.

the solia has a 2 yr warranty why didnt you just like return and get a new one?

I actually only had a 30 day warranty from the site that I bought it from. So returning it wasnt an option.

i think the solia stopped working cause your hair might be really dry

if you use the highest settings all the time without conditionner and leave in conditionner. I'm pretty sure it would work just like it used to if you conditionned your hair.

Maybe you have to clean your plates on your Solia cause the build up from your hair products is on your plates, which can damage your hair.
