  • Actually I grew up in the door, Was saved till I was 18. I back slid and was NEVER told to go to hell,no one talked about me unless it was in there prayers for me to come back. Even when I was backslid I had nothing but respect for the Door, I just wasn't ready to lead a Christian life. Now I am back and am happy to be there, My Pastor is an awesome Pastor. The congregation accepted me back with open arms.

  • If you've ever been to the door u would know none of this to be true. 1st you can be saved and not speak in tongues. I was saved for months before I spoke in tongues and only did so after being filled with the holy spirit. 2nd, I never wrote a check & never been ridiculed. 3rd if Your on fire for God, you want to announce it as LOUD as you can. It's not a Mandate. 4th we take offerings for the purpose of planting new churches and supporting the ones we already have.

  • I am a member of the potters house i own a t.v and have never been accused or convicted as a sinner for doing so the only people who are placed with restriction are people out of their own will who want to get involved in ministry, so now they are a cult for having guidlines???? I mean people get a choice in this

  • I used to go to the door in Redlands,CA and was forced to do things. Like give testimonies, and forced to try to speak in tongues. I was only 15 years old and every time I went to church I felt like shit. They always said that we were going to hell if we weren't perfect. 3 times a week services and if you missed one the pastor would be at your door the next day asking why you didn't show. To this day I don't trust churches and I'm scared to get involved in one. Very traumatic. I hope God will l

  • Wow....The way they attack christian in the media is unbelievable....Any big church that is worshiping God n Jesus get called a cult.....After 20yrs of being involved in the streets n women i was saved last april 12th of 2010 and then baptise 2 weeks later...I am a member of the potter house and all i heard from these negative people who so called themself Gods people or former members about mind control is a joke...I'm allow to do what ever i want and its never been told of me any different...

  • I have atteneded the church since 93 and have seen lives changed for the better . I do not attend the church anymore in the Trinidad area because of reasons between me and the new pastor . There are mighty men of God in this church and it will prevail ! I have been blessed to have been a part of this fellowship and I am greatful for all your love and prayers in the past. May God bless this church and may you guys keep changing peoples lives for the better . God bless the potters house / Door .

  • @ekkertmal99 Well, that's unfortunate, and I don't blame you for your hard feelings towards him.

  • @teagan73191 That's nice that you can be on good terms with them. I lost all respect for my pastor when he helped my ex relocate with my daughter and her new 'missionary date' boyfriend to a church in another state. When I asked him where she took off to, he acted like he didn't know. This was a guy I thought would stand up for what's right. Instead he took sides and let himself be manipulated by a good storyteller. This is a leadership pastor in my area. He's on the track he wants to be on.

  • @ekkertmal99 Well if that was truly your unexaggerated experience, then that church has issues and needs to get back on track. The Door is a radical church, that is true, and there might have been a few things I didn't agree with, but I never experienced that. There are no perfect churches. The pastor and my friends were there for me when other people were not. I don't even go there any more and I'm still in contact with people there.

  • @teagan73191 You're either lying or in major denial! I was controlled and told what to do the whole time I was there. Told to cut my parents off, drop out of school, not join the military because it wasn't god's will for my life. I had to ask permission who I could date. The list goes on and on. So, no control?

  • @poorsmellyyetiess Any group that ancourages members to cut ties with their families, is a cult. I was there for almost ten years. The hardest thing after I left, was realizing the hurt and pain I had caused my family.

  • They aren't a cult. they are just on fire for Jesus!!!!! Awesome, i'm glad they are radical.
