That's because the Rev was a musician in a mainstream/pop metal band, so more people have heard of him. Same goes with Slipknot.
But it's true, Dio has been a rocker since '57 and has outdone all of them over and over.
That's the difference between Dio and the rest of them.
People can't say "he had so much left to do". He was an accomplished rocker for 50 years. He left nothing undone, ya know?
