Tonio K, one time member of the post Holly Crickets, who, since going solo back in 78 has released 8 amazing albums. Here he is playing 'That Could Have Been Me' unplugged at Cornerstone festival in 1988.
Though loved by many critics - Rolling Stone said his Romeo Unchained album was "the best Bob Dylan album since Dylan himself lost interest in the Pop song form, commercial success has been a bit elusive.

  • this was actually 1989 - I was there.

ah, thanks. I have two shows (88 and 89) on one disc. I figured since this one was first on the disc it was probably the 88 show but they must be in reverse order. The disc was acquired in trade - though my first C-stone actually was 89 (I think) but somehow I missed that TK was there.

  • OMG, Tonio K is awesome, responsible, creative, powerful voice...WHERE IS THIS GUY?? The world needs more artists like this.

  • @spiffybumble - yeah, 89 was my first C-Stone too, so that's how I was sure of the year on the Tonio clips. Really glad I got to see him there.

  • Love this song. Love the album it's from. Cool, stripped down performance. Thanks for posting it.
