Wow.. people really do this?
-
what is the ball on the end of the stick? is it supposed to be a mace? looks like shaft should be padded a little more
-
SCA uses rattan in their weapons. Not live steel, just a quick correction
-
wow this is really gay at that age
-
xD We(me and friends etc.) used to do this with wooden weaps/shields xD you really know when your hit then ^^
but 8 vs 1 isnt that fun then you know......
and yea you need to wea real armor xD chainmail ftw
-
Another fantasy group is Darkon.
However, I'v not played with any group yet. I have about 60 mixed weps of- swords, spears, axes, and about 10 shields. I got around 30-40 guys i rally up on the weekends and we go into my back 180 akers and just beat the crap out of eachother. Its good fun! :) Im thinking about merging us into another group though and just creating my own kingdom. Do you think that would bealoud with any of the groups?
-
Heheheh try SCA, but dont bring the foamies. Ohh and you'll need real armor. :)
-
Cant wait to get my weps I'm haveing two swords being made I do realms with my school and im joining up with bekagarth once the snow melts.
-
the only steel that is used in sca sport combat is on the rapier field. on the armoured side we use rattan, actually throw full force blows, and wear armour. its totally different from amtgard and all the other foam tapping systems.

Nah. Out of what you listed, Amtgard is the only foam sport that uses magic. SCA is live steel, and Dag and Bel are both foam weapons fighting without magic or extensive LARP. I've never tried Amtgard though, and I'd like to give it a whirl. As far as "realism" goes with foam weapons, Belegarth is more realistic than Amtgard when it comes to weapons. Amt is more fantasy oriented. Not bashing by any means, I'd love to try it.
-
Belegarth is almost exactly the same as Dagorhir. But yeah, that's cool! I've fought with Amtgard people before, but I've never actually gone out to play with them on full Amtgard rules.

I just happened to be checking my email. :P
-
wow you replied fast
-
That's awesome! :]
It really is a lot of fun, I'm glad you're into it!
Have fun!
-
all my friends say this is stupid and nerdy but i say otherwise, this game is amazing fun i hadn't had this much fun since a long time ago. Luckily there is a belegarth club in my school that i can play with, that have a lot of weapons and i feel so lucky.
-
I'm pretty sure it is Frontline, by Pillar.
-
i meant what song is that
-
what video is that?
-
Going for arms and legs is a normal thing for Belegarth.
And thanks for the tips!! You're definitely right, we certainly make a LOT of mistakes in this video. But given this is about a year and a half old by now, we're much better. We've all gotten a lot of help from more experienced fighters and even attended events!
-
Nice vid! Well I looked at the directions and they don't make much sense to me. Are you using spears on this vid? Because I want to make one like that but like I said the directions didn't make any sense... Could you give me a little tutorial on how to make a spear? I would really really appreciate it! =)
-
nice job! i do full sword combat with a full bastard sword. this impressed me considering that me and my friends started out with foam weapons made from homedepot. if i could make some critisism, my only suggestion is to never turn your back on your opponent, and dont go for the arm or legs, it may be easy, however its not a very honorable thing to do. nice vid.

Yep!
I'll send you the link to it in a message.
are those even swords?
they look like baseballbat

@steve11610 they're foam, not real swords. All but one of them are shaped like swords though.
