How To Make : Cute Hair Bows (Second/better video) - DIY

MATERIALS NEEDED :
-Fabric
-Scissors
-Thread
-Needle

How to put this bow on .... :
1. A plastic headband - Use a hotglue gun . Put some hot glue on the headband , & press the headband on , applying pressure . hold it there for about 30 seconds , or until the glue dries . Apply more hot glue around the headband , just to be safe .
2. A stretchy headband - Use a needle & thread . Stick your needle under the middle loop of the bow . Sew through the headband , doing a running stitch until the bow is secure .
3. A bobby pin - Simply slide the bobby pin through the loop on the underside of the bow . Add hot glue if the bow is too loose .

Use these methods to apply your bow to other hair accesories , bags , clothes , or anything else you'd like !

Using a hot glue gun instead of sewing :

When you fold the first side over , put a dot of glue under it . Only put a SMALL dot .
Then put a dot of glue ontop of the fabric , right above where you put the first dot , and fold the other piece over .
Then for the bow sides ,you fold the fabric to create waves , and after each fold , put a dot of glue . Fold it like this : / \ / \ Make the folds as small as you can .
Then for the middle strip , put a dot of glue at the back , then take one end of your strip of fabric , and press it down in the glue . Then with the other end , pull it around the bow , and glue it down . There will most likely be extra fabric from the middle strip hanging off , so just cut it .

If these instructions are a bit confusing (I'm not the best at describing) , just try making one & I'm sure you'll figure it out . After watching the sewing method , you should be able to get some idea of how to do it with hot glue .

@vintageflowerlove147 You cannot use a sewing machine for this, because when you use a sewing machine, you can't pull the stitching. You need to be able to pull it to make the bow shape. Same with hot glue. I think hand sewing is the only way that works.

But if you try it with a sewing machine or glue, tell me how it goes!

yes you can use a sewing machine! its called a basteing stitch, its a very loose stitch which can be pulled to make ruffles and gathers
