Check out the recently revealed Virgin Blue Boeing 737-800 (VH-VUZ) with the AFL team Gold Coast SUNS themed livery, as part of our official sponsorship of the team.
Approximately 200 sq metres of environmentally friendly vinyl went onto the plane to create the Gold Coast SUNS logo, with a special print process used for the vinyl to ensure it handles the extreme environments that the aircraft operates in (travelling at 900km per hour and -50 degrees while in the air and then sitting on a tarmac in Darwin in up to 50 degree heat).
After Decals Are Put On: " Its Gold Coast Suns Proudly Flying Virgin Blue. Right?"

The new generation decals work exceptinally well on aircraft as they are not affected by the high altitude or the cold. They don't cause any problems with aircraft's operation - if they did I am sure Virgin would not be putting them on. It's a great way to advertise. Everyone looks at aircraft that are out of the ordinary. Well done - looks great.

I never seen decals on jet before. I thought decals aren't permit because so cold air up higher attitude. Logo decals can peeling off cause problem. Aren't they? Most jets all painted.
