Up for bid is this really SUPER cool special MASTERPIECE EDITION Batman collection! This is a premium boxed set of three specific and very special Batman related items. The three items are:
A hardcover book chronicling the Caped Crusader's Golden Age, titled "Batman: The Golden Age" by Les Daniels.
An exclusive 8" action figure/figurine of the ORIGINAL 1938 Batman! (Oh yeah! How cool is that?!!)
And last, but certainly not least, the absolute coolest, most awesome part of this... and officially authorized, exact replica of the very FIRST Batman comicbook ever!
The hardcover book is for every Batman collector out there. It goes into detail about Batman's history. Written by Les Daniels, it has TONS of pictures of vintage Batman artwork and great insight into the Golden Age history of one of the greatest Superheros of comicbook history.
The figurine statue (or should I call it an action figure?) is really cool. It's very retro looking and would look INCREDIBLE on your desk or office shelf!
As for the Holy Grail of comic books (well, almost!), the replica of the very first Batman comicbook EVER should make even the most reserved comicbook collector salivate like a St. Bernard! Other than the little verbiage inside the front cover that says that this is a replica, it is an EXACT DUPLICATE of the original, first comic book. Even the ads are in there!
Now, the box itself has had a little wear, because we've moved around a few times in the past few years. But the contents inside are brand spankin' new! In fact, I have really only handled the contents for the auction. Let me tell you, I wanted so much to take it out, but I fought the temptation... and so now you can have that option to open this box and read the very first Batman comicbook for the very first time!
Let me just say that I'm not really happy right now to let this go. :-( That's right. I lost my job back in April and, since then, have not been able to find a job. Since I've been out of work so long, my wife and I have decided to begin selling our prized possessions, in the hopes of raising enough money to continue paying our bills, including the medical bills of our diabetic dog. Yeah, it's been a little rough... but you know what? It's OK! Tough times help define who we are... and my wife and I have certainly learned alot about ourselves. So, it's been good for us. Of course, we'd like things to get better now... so let's hope that these little auctions are a step in the right direction! :-) Our loss is your gain. But your bid is our gain. Folks, this is a GREAT FIND for all of you Batman comic collectors! You WANT to add this to your collection... really, no comic collection, no matter WHAT you collect, can be complete without a replica of the very first Batman comic. Bid high and bid early on this one, gang! I think it's gonna be an awesome buy! You probably won't see this again... I got this quite a few years ago, and there weren't that many out there to begin with.
