This is the piece of music that has inspired me to take up playing the organ after 20 years. For my dad's funeral in june last year I wanted to ask the organist to play either BWV 639 or 721 (Erbarme dich). However, due to the circumstances I didn't have the opportunity to ask. As one can imagine I was surprised to hear that the very first piece that was played was BWV 639. Let's just see it as a postmortem gift from my dad... Therefore it was the first piece I learned after all those years - so I can play it for him now. R.I.P.
