@Moodyz3 You are such a fucktard, you don't need to tune down to sound heavy at all.

@VegasPoker i dont even remember what my original comment was, but i know it was a long time ago..and i have learned a lot, yeah i get pretty good cleans on my warlock which has hb-1's installed in it, but i got a damien 7 FR with EMG HZ-7's which i later switched out for 707's and now i want blackouts,, but tose EMG's got the purtiest darn cleans i ever heard from an electric

really, a metalocalypse reference. lol

@prayersofanathema You're so wrong man. You either don't have blackouts, or the clean settings on your amp are bad. I have blackouts on my 7 string and can get great clean tones from it. Check out a guy called Stupid Hat Matt here on youtube. He has the 8 string version with blackouts, and he mainly plays clean 2-handed tapping songs. You can't listen to that and tell me the cleans are bad.

LMAO wow that is crazy when you blow on the strings it picks that up crazy awesome!!!

@SaveYourStrengthHC if you want great clean tones, dont get blackouts, simple as that.

@alfalfasprout69 Make sure that it's the Blackjack ATX you try, there is an older Blackjack range that doesn't have the same specs. Pretty much just make sure you try the one with the 'Active' lightning bolt fret inlay
is that a song you are plaiyng?

@60millionaire = its an interlude to one of my originals, nothing special... just the same kinda metalcore riff most people come up with...

I have emg 81/85 right now, I'm still not getting the tone I want.
Will blackouts do the job? I'm looking for really really heavy thrashing sounds.

@Xcelorat0r = i prefer them over standard active EMG's, they do have a different sound, lots of punch and are dynamic for an active pick-up. I'd recommend you try out a guitar with S/D blackouts at ur local music store. if you know a music store what stock's Schecter guitars, there "Blackjack" models current ship with Blackouts.
