Very interesting. They have a way better sound than steel, in my opinion. More of a classic "plunk". I'll have to look into getting a set for my five string one of these days.
Probably less stab wounds from excess string too XD

"Should I suffer a brain fart", haha. You don't know how frequently I use that term.

I am a little late seeing this; but want to say you sure do a good job. What tuning are you in? (gDGBD)? and is the key G?....the low sound makes me think you are in double C.....
Thanks,

@bluerabbit10 Thanks.
The relationship between the strings is the same as a G tuning but it`s tuned to an open D. ( dADF#A)
The tuning seems to work best with that banjo. (Tuning the d 5th down two frets and playing around "C" chord positions puts it in G, if that makes sense. Clearly, my musical knowledge is limited...)

Is that actually strung with cat gut? I've always wondered what gut would sound like. I got a few gut strings in the case with my antique violin when I bought it, it was quite fascinating XD
Also, lovely playing :3 I really should practice with my banjo more. XD Keep up the great work! :3

Great sound on that 5 string! Where in the world can you find gut strings for one these days? Later man....

Thanks. I got them from "Dr. Horsehair". Google the website. The strings aren`t cheap but they really growl.
