  • who was piloting here? capt gapzynski?

  • yep.Capt. Gapzynski was pretty amicable during my six weeks as a relief third mate. Since I was a 'salty' he was a bit annoyed by that.

  • It's a song out of my Video editing Library by Smithwicks Tavern "Light the Atmosphere". I'm glad you enjoyed the video!

  • Cont: It was so funny! We were staying in a motel about a block or so from the dock! I decided to go out & look for her in the harbor! I found the ship watchers hotline & gave it a call! The recording said where she was at! I thought WTF?

I was looking all over the whole harbor & there she was just a block away! LOL!

Funny how one could miss something so big! LOL!

  • Thank You for sharing this with us! Too short though! LOL! *grin*

I was finaly able to catch the Anderson for the 1st time at the Missabe Ore Dock at 11pm in Duluth MN. in late Sept. 2010. She was waiting out the weather. I was able to catch her just as she was docking up in Two Harbors the next day! Cacthing the Anderson was the highlight of my trip! Cont.

  • i love the music, what is the name of the song and artist?

  • I worked on there for a month last year, never got the privilege of working with him thought. Capt Whip was on the whole time I was there.

  • you could try contacting Key Lakes Inc. or American Steamship Company directly; but this economy has so many ships laid up that jobs for new comers are impossible, try next year.

  • how do you get a job on board a freighter on the lakes?

im looking to get a job on one after school
