In house 1313 lives a man who has never seen the outside world with his own two eyes. Living by himself in darkness, the occupant in 1313 (Alistair Tober) has only one connection to the outside world, his television. Basing his vision of the outside world on what he sees on TV only leaves him more terrified about what lies outside his door. He soon finds himself questioning whether he should stay in his comfort zone or leap out into the dark gloom world he has avoided for so many years.

This was my third and favorite short film I wrote, produced, directed, shot, and edited at USC's School of Cinematic Arts. It was and individual project for a class called CTPR 290. The only guidelines for this project was it couldn't exceed 7 mins in length and could only feature 1 SYNCED line of dialogue, Voice overs and Narration were allowed.

Enjoy and please let me know what you think,
-Dan

  • cool film. I loved seeing the guy's reactions to the activity going on outside. He had great facial expressions and the camera angles were great too. Good job!

  • Nicely edited and nicely acted. I love the subject you chose because it's not talked about a lot, there's not many movies that would work around this subject. So, very good =)
