es hiaba mondd akarki akarmit , ez egy mestermu , es annak lehet hivni aminek aminek csak akarjak . ha mar valaki ongyilkos lesz a dal miatt , akkor az bisztosan megtalalta a dal igazi mondani valojat .

You feel the music in the way the instrumental part is played, not to mention the way he is singing the piece. You do not have to know the languageto feel the music, but it does help for some. It is a beautifully written melody & if sung and played with emotion can be very grandl, i do not know about suicidal, but meaningful. I have a copy of the sheet music &the English 'translation' of gloomy (sad)sunday that Sam Lewis and Desmond Carter coined do not do these words justice.

the original is not French it is Hungarian...Seress wrote different lyrics, but they were still in Hungarian.

the original is by reszo seress and it was recorded in 1933 and this is the second recording but instead its in hungarian not french ike the original
