  • Thanks again. Yes it is a home built unit. You can see my videos of making these panels. They were almond colored vinyl sliding doors. After assembly I painted them with a plastic friendly paint. They look as factory made as the factory made panel I installed over 10 yrs ago. The first day was mostly cloudy and the tank was heated to 125F. I used about half of the hot water that night and the next day the tank was heated to 145F. I wanted to show people a good unit can be built inexpensively.

  • Awesome work! I'm happy to see you getting your water heated with clean energy. No monthly bill for hot water!

  • @field16 Thanks for the comment. Yes with that unit it cost's nothing to heat the tank! It was well worth the investment.

  • Very nice looking design. Thanks for sharing. When you have some time for another video, I would like to see more about the design and construction of your pump, heat exchanger, and expansion tank setup.

  • I don't know man. It's a little to shakey. I think you should get a tripod and a better camera. IMO. It's not about the INFO, you have to be able to visually keep peoples attention. Hope this helps. (I got to 1.75 for this comment)

  • great job. you say you built this? it looks like you paid for this unit.. wow good job again, i like it..

  • @DeleteMeOnline Thank You for that nice comment. I used what I could and made a unit that looks good and functions as well as the commercial units that are 3 time the price. So thanks again for the pat on the back. I'm glad you didn't slam me on my video making and naration skills. :)
