this is for surlaweht........i can understand that you liked the old shows better and thats your opinion...but i was in CS this year and will be next year....and we killed the game this year....you gotta remember that its 09 not 07,05,or 04.....things change.....WE WERE STILL GOOD.......LOVE YOU CS
i miss the old LC. 2007,2005,2004. you guys had your own stile and tried to be no one else and you were funky. i loved you. now you seem like just another show choir now.
maybe this show isn't typical cs but the vocals are STILL CS. also 2008 an 2006 were also great yrs although we had 0 gc's in 2008 we were good. this show won 3 gc's a 3d place at a national comp an 7th at state so...yeah
We had a little bit of controversy over newCS/oldCS this year. What you say is understandable, but I think it is obvious that there are somethings that will never change so long as Jena is in charge.
Examples: We never sing in less than 4 parts for longer than 4 measures at once, nearly all shows open with a theatre piece, and (what sets us apart from most show choirs) we refuse to be vulgar or trampy in the show.
I am proud of new CS. Think of it as progression.
I think your 2nd half was better than for first half for this show. I think its nice for you guys to not want to be vulgar, but there's nothing wrong with pushing the boundaries with the choreography. it's a little bland except for the dance break where we can see you guys got it!
