Raystede aims to give animals a better life through re-homing, rehabilitation and sanctuary and give people the support and knowledge they need to treat animals with care and respect. Approximately 1500 unwanted and abandoned animals are brought into Raystede each year. All newcomers are given a full health check in our surgery and any problems are treated. Raystede houses the biggest aviary of its kind in Europe. We also have a tranquil walk through our sanctuary, where hundreds of migrating birds flock every year. A dog walk is also open around the perimeter of the ground. During the school holidays, watch out for the Raystede Ranger events for the children.

Raystede is open daily between 10am and 4pm with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. We offer a large car park, free entry, cafe, charity/gift shop and accessible toilets. We welcome group visits and can offer on site tours with pre-bookings. www.raystede.org
