noel says, he said to interviewers at that time, that he'd do a solo project, just to mess with liam at the time. at his later interviews he once stated, IF oasis were to split, he'd probably do ONE solo album, and then retire.
that's what's happening now.

damn fucking dipshit liam... so advanced in music and it's depths, and still talking evil bout other kinds of music like grunge (pearl jam). you should be able to think clear enough to understand what music is and express your understanding in a proper way.. damn commercial doochebags, listen blind melon, understand Shannon Hoon, and you'll be widely understood..

I kind of feel bad for Noel sometimes. Because he'll never have the chance to do a solo project because he won't do it without Liam's blessing. And he will always wonder.
I understand where Liam comes from. But what is it to him if Noel spends his time off from Oasis doing a solo record. It's not like Noel wants to GO SOLO. He has always been very adamant about that. He just wants to make a record adn have it out there...not tour it.
