The Rationals - Leavin' Here (Cameo Records Version)

Ok folks, here's the good version of this tune. Sure, the Rationals recorded this first for A2 records but when Cameo re-released their song Respect, they had them re-record this song rather than re-release the first version. I certainly prefer this version, it has more of a kick to it, in my opinion. I hope you dig it as much as I do! The copyright on this sound recording is owned by Abkco Music, Inc...please support them and their releases of Cameo Parkway material so that we may see more of it come out on cd.

Cameo/Parkway at this point in mid 1967 was NOT run by the same people when the labels had their biggest success. This was run by people getting releases from the mid-west and Britain. The only Philadelphia music came from, then C/P employees, Gamble and Huff.

this is a song that's been covered by many...the who, pearl jam, ronnie wood, motorhead to name a few. must be an easy song to learn. it's awesome all the same!
