Everyone, please, do *not* flag this as SPAM. The laws regarding party registration vis-a-vis primary election voting elgibility vary from state to state. Ron Paul needs an overwhelming turnout to counteract the MSM blackout and entrenched GOP machines at the local level.

  • This is why I left Canada 15years ago, set up shop in asia and never looked back. I'm 39 and should be retired and living off of rental income and annuities by age 45. I could have never have done this in north america.

  • @Xenomorphine Well, if you really believe all that, you probably believed Saddam was a threat and he could attack any country in Europe within 45 minutes, the WMD lie and that the west is there to 'bring freedom and democracy' to the middle east. No doubt Iran hasn't forgotten the Shah. Seems to me the west meddles with them rather than the other way around. They're not invading and occupying whatever country they please.

  • @UponInfinity Firstly, I'm not American, nor do I live in America. Secondly, most people with common sense would rather NOT have to wait until a city's worth of civilians reach several million degrees centigrade before something preventative's done (not to mention the environmental catastrophe of all that enduring radiation).

Thirdly, don't forget Iran's massive track record of handing things off to third party terrorist groups. They could be destroyed and the warheads would still be out there.

  • @Xenomorphine I did read what you wrote. Oh, okay, Iran uses nuclear weapons, then they get wiped off the face of the earth. Suddenly, no more Iran problem. I really don't know what drives America's irrational fear and hysteria of your very own shadow. I guess that's why you guys are broke, which in the end, will completely destory your national security and will deliver a far worse blow than any bomb going off.

  • @UponInfinity You aren't reading what I wrote. Other Arab states ARE terrified of Iran. Saudi Arabia, especially, would sink all efforts into getting nuclear weapons of its own.

Look at the history of Persia and you'll understand why this historical mistrust exists.

You give Iran nukes and the entire region will go to the brink of war - assuming it doesn't just use someone like Hezbullah to destroy Israel with them, first. Or hit Europe/America, for that matter.

  • @Xenomorphine The U.S. seems to be the one destabilizing the area. The U.S. has invaded Afghanistan and Iraq and have Iran surrounded. It's the equivalent of Iran invading and establishing permanent bases in Canada and Mexico and somehow trusting that they don't have their eyes on the U.S. It is typical American arrogance It is exactly this attitude that has bankrupted the states, both morally and financially.

  • @UponInfinity And yes, they may well be stupid enough to use them. Look at Ahmadinejad's numerous calls for igniting a war which will consume the region in fire, because of being ideologically motivated to put his own survival to one side. It's like saying would Al Qaeda/the Taliban be stupid enough to fly jet liners into the Pentagon and Twin Towers and risk all-out retaliation. The answer was yes.

  • @UponInfinity Because they're notrious for supporting and passing on incredibly lethal weapons to terrorist groups, like Hezbullah, to fight proxy wars on their behalf. You don't need a missile when you've got the option of suicide bombers driving a van.

Also, you seem to be ignoring how much Iran is feared by Arab states. Something RP also does. If Iran gets them, it WILL trigger a Middle East nuclear arms race. It'll be more unstable than it ever has.

  • @Xenomorphine So, why shouldn't they have nuclear weapons? They're surrounded by countries that also have them. Maybe they're looking at Libya, who the U.S. got to terminate they're nuclear weapons program and, oh, look, the west went in and removed Gadhaffi. Would they really be stupid enough to use them, when Israel has a good 300 or so?

  • @UponInfinity How? He's already stated his public positions on some critical areas of US foreign policy, including being 100% relaxed about Iran getting nuclear weapons. There's no way I can regard his given reasons for that as being anything less than naive (and you can have plenty of years behind you and still be naive; just look at Jimmy Carter :)).

He'd be the only candidate capable of converting Republican votes over to the Democrats.

  • @Xenomorphine If he gets the nomination, I think you're going to be unpleasantly surprised.
