I like his tempos, doesn't drag like some performances I've heard.

@mightyzebra I know exaclty what you mean about the Rite - the horn sounds just like the horn part in the Procession of the Sage

@johndega Your comments are well founded, but capitalization is something that you should use sparingly.

Wow, FANTASTIC piece of music. Stravinsky definitely cannot be beaten. A good chorus singing it here, too. :D For four seconds or so from 2:25 the music reminded me of a small bit of the Rite of Spring... Seems a little too coincidental... Thanks for posting, really enjoyed listening, as I am a huge fan of Stravinsky's music.

I had the privelege of being a baritone in a performance of this wonderful piece at the University of Florida, sometime in the early 70's ! That & being a baritone in a performance of "the 9th" in January of 1975 (same place) are by far the penultimate moments of my musical experiences !!

One of the greatest works one can experience. This finale is devastatingly beautiful. HOORAY, Mr. STRAVINSKY!

Excellent..
THIS IS ONE OF THE TRUE MASTERPIECES OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY.
STRAVINSKY WAS IN TOP FORM, AND APPROACHED THIS WORK WITH GREAT
RESPECT AND SOLEMNITY. NOT ONLY IS IT UTTERLY ORIGINAL AND TRUE TO HIS OWN CHARACTER, BUT IT IS ALSO BEAUTIFUL TO HEAR. THE ENDING SEQUENCE IS ONE OF THE GREAT MOMENTS IN ALL MUSIC.
