eConference 2011 - HOT MARKETS: Consumer Experience Panel

The Darden School of Business and its Batten Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation held it's annual Entrepreneurship Conference on November 3rd & 4th, 20011in Charlottesville, Virginia. This year's conference theme: "Innovate. Effectuate." unraveled the mysteries behind successful entrepreneurs and innovators and provided the framework for applying their strategies to build a viable business.

The final panel of the day on the Consumer Experience was moderated by Philippe Sommer, Director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership at the Batten Institute.

Panelists were:

-- Tobias Dengel, CEO of Willow Tree Apps, Inc., a leader in mobile application development across all major platforms, and Founder of RentalSpot.com, an online vacation home rental website.

-- Dan Maccarone, Co-founder of Charming Robot, a digital product design company based in New York City, and co-founder of Hard Shell Candy along with Kevin Kearney.

-- Joren van der Pluijm, Chief Executive Inspirer at WishWish USA, a new charlottesville company that focuses on offering fun things to do, and co-founder of Pluimen, a Dutch company that opened up a new market for rewarding employees with experience.
