these are actually horrible machines, we had 2 of them in my college carpentry shop but they dont use them anymore cuz when the machine is triggered it not only costs 60$ to replace the blade a tech from the company has to come in and rebuild the machine and that costs around 2000$ and if that wassent bad enough every moist or wet piece of lumber will set the machine off and cost you another 2060$ for nothing! its a complete ripoff! theres no replacement for a skilled operator.

It really is quite amazing... and of course inching a finger forward ever so slowly till it touches the blade is why he didn't get hurt... but if you look at the gash in that hot dog... well, you can see that you WOULD get hurt, but I for one would rather have a few stitches than reattachment surgery! And believe me when I tell you that you know no pain like the pain experienced when a saw blade comes into contact with a bone! 40 years later and I still feel it!
