  • Show the rest of the cartoon!

  • @GJNCA but do you still have it?

  • Not for big sister ! - LOL !

  • Omigosh -- I was young, like in my single digit years, when my parents surprised me with my very own close -n-play! It came with a whole batch of child-friendly 45s, and my older siblings would listen to THEIR records on it (with me) when dad and mom were monopolizing the family record player.....oh the memories!

  • What's wrong with Nancy that a Close n' Play phonograph is so easy to operate "even Nancy" can use it? If I was Nancy I'd be insulted. They're implying she's a moron or something.

  • This was pitched during an episode of "FRANKENSTEIN JR. AND THE IMPOSSIBLES" (originally telecast in color)- note the "Herb Alpert" influence of the opening background score. By 1967, one out of every five commercials used a "Tijuana Brass" sound-alike. There are several examples of working "Close 'N' Play" phonographs in excellent condition these days [even on YouTube].

  • I would loooooooooove to have one of those again

  • Excellence.
