@Maricruz341030 Actually Itachi did it because Madara told him to, in other words, he did it to protect Sasuke, but Sasuke doesn't find that out until AFTER Itachi dies... soz, spoilers xP (but I refuse for Itachi to be seen as a heartless *beep*)

@Maricruz341030 That's not actually true. Itachi killed his clan because they were planning a coup that would start another war. He told Sasuke that he killed every one because he wanted to see what he was capable of because he wanted Sasuke to become strong enough to kill him.
