We switch to an aquatic setting for this Macworld Video, yet the subject remains unchanged from recent weeks: Leopard, Leopard, Leopard.

I shot this video on board the MS Volendam during the just-concluded MacMania cruise around the Caribbean Sea and into the Panama Canal. We may be focusing on the latest version of Mac OS X yet again, but to freshen things up, I've invited a couple guest stars to join us in this video: New York Times technology columnist David Pogue and Apple's Sal Soghoian. Both David and Sal were speakers on the MacMania 7 cruise, and I thank them for taking the time to share some of their favorite hidden Leopard features.

  • for the last bit of this video dealing with the preview... 1 word PHOTOSHOP!!!

  • fast? none of that is fast.

I like the idea of spotlight, but my keyboard can launch Firefox with the press of a single button. Or I can use quick launch, or press Windows key + moz, down a couple times, I'm there (Vista).

About that long process of making some text with a transparent background - that can be done SO much easier with the Gimp (cross-platform).

Why not just whatever the photo editor he was using; does it not have a text tool?
