'An American Werewolf In London' (1981) is a horror film written and directed by John Landis. It is regarded as a cult classic and won an Academy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Make-Up. It was Rick Baker who created the FX and the make-up and the result is still as chilling as it was years ago.

The most striking thing about this movie is the perfect balance between horror and humor. The story begins when two Americans arrive at an English pub called 'The Slaughtered Lamb'. As David and Jack leave the pub they are told to stay on the road. Of course they don't and soon they are attacked by a wolf-like creature. And from there it only gets worse for the duo.

The song that I used for this video is my favourite from the movie. It's called 'Bad Moon Rising' by Creedence Clearwater Revival. The music that you'll hear during the credits is 'Blue Moon' by The Marcels.

See you next Wednesday!

'An American Werewolf In London' and its music belongs to Universal Pictures.

  • That wolf was the most badass! They should let that werewolf loose in the "Twilight" movie.

  • @muclesmarinara You're right this one is badass. Have you seen 'The Howling'? The werewolf in that one is also awesome. It actually bitchslaps a lady and gets away with it!

  • perfect song for my favourite werewolf movie

  • Funny to see that more people died from the madness, then from the actual werewolf.

  • who in the hell doesnt like this?

  • Fuckin Brits cant drive for shit!

  • A personal gripe of mine is that the ending seemed a bit abrupt, especially considering the gravity of what had just occured, but it's not something I'm going to moan about for years to come. Good movie, regardless.

  • Sorry i called you meatloaf jack!

  • 30 years old today, one of my favourites of all time

  • Great werewolf movie. I dunno about "THE HOWLING", I think that's more satire than horror. "GINGERSNAPS" and "THE COMPANY OF WOLVES" are pretty good werewolf movies!

  • @SteVin89 I never have seen "The Howling" but everyone tells me that it's good so I guess I should check it out. I have been getting into these types of movies again.

  • see you next wednesday
