Thanks for posting this. It provides some context. Without Youtube I might never have known of Eva Cassidy and what a great talent she was.

I sit her crying like a baby and being both thankful to have discovered her, and sad for having lost her. She had the voice of an angel no doubt. Bless you Eva, and thank you for sharing your voice with the rest of us.

@Joner888 Okay, sorry for the confusion. The b/w footage is of her Live at Blues Alley with band performance probably then.

I live in Maryland just a few miles from her home of Bowie, Maryland. I am the same age as her and ran around the same clubs as her. I remember hearing her name years ago in the late 80's and 90's but never got to hear her sing until after her death. Her voice was special and I will never forget her. RIP Eva

What an astonishing voice she had, and what a sweet and humble person she seemed to have been. How sad she wasn't really "discovered" until after she was gone, and how ludicrous that so many singers, with far less ability to touch listeners emotionally, have "made it" so big.
Is the album "Songbird" the Live at Pearls solo gig, of which some black and white footage was shown here in this documentary?
I always assumed it's more or less the same songs she did live, but recorded in a studio for the "Songbird" album. Please enlighten me, and thanks for uploading.

@DaVooz , all I can tell you is what I know. I don't believe any video exists of Eva's Live at Pearl's performances.
