  • @JixMa Could you imagine breaking the norm by not placing PRIVATE FEDERAL RESERVE CEO'S in the Treasury Secretary position? How many years has that been going on now?

More proof of HOPE IN ONE HAND, BUSH IN THE OTHER.

The only thing we ever get is CHANGE of face.

  • "Congressman DeFazio Wants Treasury Sec Geithner FIRED!"

Hear hear, Congressman Peter DeFazio! I so agree! And I want Wall Streeters in jail, their assets seized & returned to the US Treasury & used to give all Americns free universal health care as soon as they're born until the day they die. Pretty simple! Any extra money, rebuild America's infrastructure. It modernizes the country, puts people to work, giving them real wages to spend, raising their standard of living & growing the economy.

  • I love this man!!!

Geithner needs to be sent into exile, along with Bernanke...

  • i agree with pleng72

  • One thing to keep in mind: the collapse of Lehman and others DID NOT cause the recession. It made it worse. The recession was coming sooner or later, and after 6-7 years of growth, albeit slow, it was to be expected. But don't say idiotic uneconomic things like "financial collapse caused the recession." Financial collapses don't cause recessions. They make recessions WORSE. The Roaring 20s was bound to recession sooner or later as well, esp. with the Fed's open market operations.
