Senator Ted Kennedy was buried at Arlington National Cemetery on Saturday August 29th. At the moment a simple white cross marks his resting place but soon that will be replaced by a formal headstone. RIP

  • how come no one is morning mary jo. my grandfather is buried there. i can't believe they let that murder lay near my honorable grandfather

  • @starmushrooms I see. Yeah I always wondered. Thanks for the info. I know for sure next year my summer trip will be visiting Washington for a week. Thanks again. :)

  • Regardless of what I thought of Ted, right at the very end of his funeral being broadcast his young grandson collapsed in tears on his casket and hugged it. Honestly, it made me cry because regardless of what the world thought of him his family still loved him.

  • @08dukeduke I wondered that too for years, but I read his final wish was to be buried with a simple white cross overlooking the ocean in Hyannis. He wanted the cross usually reserved for the fishermen who die at sea for its simplicity and because he didn't see himself as anything amazing. His family decided to bury him near his brother instead, but kept with his wishes to have a simple white cross. I believe he has another marker in Massachusetts overlooking the ocean.

  • Was Mary Jo waiting for Ted when he got to the pearly gates?

  • I always wondered why Bobby never had a proper head stone. The white cross is nice but I just thought Ethel and the kids would of done something nicer than the white cross.

  • Is that Gary coleman guarding the grave?

  • why were the kennedy brothers not buried together?

  • From the perspective of the camera, JFK and RFK's gravesites are at about two o'clock, up the hill.

In other words, in this video you're looking at the mansion from the front. If you were standing at the JFK grave, you would look up the hill to the mansion from the right. Bobby's is in between. The distance is not more than a few hundred feet or so.

  • I thought he was buried in the same green area as Robert (who also has a white cross), but Robert's grave is probably just out of the shot.
