I have nine Standards. One I bought, the others are rescues and owner give ups. I love all dogs but will never be owned (ha!) by another breed. They are SO smart and it's fun to watch them think and figure things out.

Thanks for commenting, Our other Standard did have a docked tail, but I also prefer them with an undocked tail. Skyla also has her dew-claws intact, and uses them to hold her toys etc, Lol.

lost my standard in july (at 12 yrs), was real gutted, but am now thinking of getting another, just love the intelligence and no hair. yur dog is lovely

sorry to hear you lost your Standard in July. We were devastated to lose our other one, also a black standard. 3 months later we brought Skyla home, I think you just have to think that they had a good life with you, thats how I coped, thankyou for your comment.
