Smoking a little pine in the morning eh? Yeah I love the smell too. One thing that I think would be helpful and would make you even more money is to demonstrate tools such as this and put a link up on your website in the more info section where people can buy the tool and you earn a commission. Kind of like Tool Time does with Binford. haha. I read your bio about being a dad trying to provide and your a great inspiration to all. Great video!!

Tim ..... Like the information! I need to drill through the bottom plate just as you did however there is a 4" concrete slab under that wall. I have heard of some concrete CORE BITS that you can attach to your right angle drill however I cannot find them anywhere. Would you know where I may be able to purchase these bits? I don't know if they offer a "plumbers kit" that has all the pipe size bits I would need. I tried all the home centers such at Lowe's and Home Depot and I had no luck.

does that right angle have a clutch ? you should stress safety with that type of power tool because if someone decides to try it with that set up and cocks the bit or hangs up on a nail you know as well as I they're gonna go for a ride. They don't call them wrist busters for nothing. but Ive been checking out your vids very informative keep up the good work just stress safety with power tools.

The Blue Boar TCT tungsten carbide tipped hole cutters cut to 2-1/4 depth faster and without all the shavings and need a lot less torque. Can use 18 volt cordless drills to cut 6-1/4" diameter holes in OSB, plywood, MDF, Hardie siding, plaster, etc.. Makes more sense to buy a modern Blue Boar TCT hole cutter that works on more than just wood and does not require the use of a heavy and expensive corded stud drill. They fit on standard 2-pin 5/8-11 thread arbors.

I think this was a good video for a contractor in training, but not an average DIY'er looking for advice on youtube. I think the message should have been the opposite, find a functional alternative to a high end tool. It would be an incredible waste of time to rent a tool for one hole. Other than that, I love your videos and spend a great amount of time on your website.
what in the hell does this have have anything to do with motorcycle exhaust pipes? you advertise one thing then show something completely different. this is what completely turns me against crap like you try to hustle!!

@rollinstonedd1 I have a question. Did you, by any chance, fall off a motorcycle at high speed not wearing a helmet?

Shure is a great tool. But nobody wants to expend a lot of money buying a power tool for a very rare use. There´s no cheapest solution for this?

You bet. Rent one for that rare need. When you see how much torque they have, you'll see why they work so well.

Back when they still made them the real thing Porter Cable D handle drill with right angle head was the best of it's kind made. Milwaukee may be #1 in sales but they do not have the same quality in their 3107 RA drill kit. It's a good, but not a great tool. The Makita of today is pretty close to the old P-C and it's quieter.

I love my Porter Cable. I treat it with great care. Just used it two weeks ago. Works like it did the first day I took it out of the box about 25 years ago.
